Responsibilities:
Council’s power to declare, renew or terminate a State of Local Emergency, or to expand or reduce the part of the Municipality to which a State of Local Emergency applies.
The Emergency Advisory Committee consists of the Mayor who shall chair the Committee and two other Members of Council.
In carrying out its responsibilities the Committee may invite Indigenous leaders to attend Committee meetings as ex officio non-voting members.
Meeting Frequency: Semi-Annually and may meet more frequently at the call of the chair.
