Helen Meyer, Chair, provided an update on the Winter Nominate your Neighbour program noting the program will run from November 23rd, 2021 to December 20th, 2021. It was further noted that Communities in Bloom is partnering with Melanie Galea, owner of the www.ymmlights.com webpage and, a social media platform that maps out local homes with Christmas light displays. This map will showcase the Communities in Bloom logo and all of the addresses of the recognized homes in the Nominate your Neighbour program. The recipient packages will include a QR code for residents to easily scan and be directed to the Communities in Bloom - Nominate your Neighbour webpage.
