THAT the Fort McKay Community Centre capital project continue with a $9,000,000 budget as well as future budgeting for operation and maintenance costs.

Dennis Warr, Acting Director, Engineering, and Nasir Qureshi, Manager, Engineering Programs, provided an update on the Fort McKay Community Centre and presented the options available to Council’s consideration.

Ron Quintal, President, McKay Métis, spoke in favour of Option 1 being that the Fort McKay Community Centre capital project continue with a $9,000,000 budget as well as future budgeting for operation and maintenance costs.

Exit and Return

Councillor K. Balsom exited the meeting at 5:10 p.m. and returned at 5:12 p.m.

Councillor C. Voyageur disconnected from the meeting at 5:40 p.m.

Recess

A recess occurred from 5:46 p.m. until 6:01 p.m. at which time Councillor C. Voyageur reconnected to the meeting.

Point of Order

Councillor P. Meagher called a point of order regarding inappropriate comparable information being provided by Administration. Mayor D. Scott recognized the Point of Order.
